Eventasaurus keeps your events, seats and payments. Your website shows them however you like. Buyers choose, pay and get their tickets without ever leaving your site.
There are two ways to do it. Both are free, and neither needs an API key.
The quick way: the tickets widget
In your dashboard, click Embed and copy the Tickets Widget snippet into your site (Squarespace, WordPress, Wix, Webflow or plain HTML). It looks like this:
<iframe src="https://eventasaurus.app/embed/YOUR-ORG/YOUR-EVENT/tickets"
title="Tickets" width="100%" height="520" frameborder="0"
style="border:0; border-radius:8px;" loading="lazy" allow="payment"></iframe>
<script src="https://eventasaurus.app/eventasaurus.js" async></script>
Buyers tap Buy, pick how many, enter their name and email, and pay in a window that opens over your page (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link). Their QR codes show up right there and in their email.
The script line matters. It sizes the widget to fit and opens payment on your page. Without it the widget still works and takes payment inside its own box.
Your own design (headless)
Build any ticket design you like: a seat picker, a calendar, candles that light up as seats sell. You draw everything. Eventasaurus supplies the data and the payment.
1. Load the script
<script src="https://eventasaurus.app/eventasaurus.js"></script>
2. Get your dates, ticket types and seats left
Eventasaurus.events('YOUR-ORG', 'YOUR-EVENT').then(function (feed) {
feed.events.forEach(function (night) {
// night.id, night.name, night.date, night.start, night.end, night.venue
// night.status: 'on_sale', 'sold_out' or 'cancelled'
// night.seats_left and night.capacity (null when there's no limit)
night.ticket_types.forEach(function (t) {
// t.id, t.name, t.price, t.available, t.status
// t.min_per_order, t.max_per_order, t.admits (a 2-pack admits 2)
})
})
// feed.passes: festival passes on sale, each with an id
})
The same data is plain JSON at https://eventasaurus.app/api/public/YOUR-ORG/YOUR-EVENT/events, so you can also read it from your own server or a static site build. It refreshes every minute. Hidden events and secret ticket types never appear in it.
3. Sell
Eventasaurus.checkout({
event: night.id,
ticketType: t.id,
quantity: 2,
})
That opens a window over your page that asks for the buyer's name and email, then shows the payment form. When they've paid, it shows their tickets with QR codes. It returns a promise, so you can update your page afterwards (for example, light up one more candle):
Eventasaurus.checkout({ event: night.id, ticketType: t.id, quantity: 2 })
.then(function (result) {
// result.order.tickets: one per person, each with a QR code image
})
.catch(function () {
// the buyer closed the window without paying
})
Options, all optional except the first two:
eventandticketType, orpassfor a festival passquantity(default 1)nameandemail: pass them if your own form already asked, and we skip ourspromoCode, andanswerfor your event's checkout questioncolor: the button color in our window, like'#7a3b1f'locale:'en','es'or'fr'(default: the buyer's browser)confirmation: false: close our window when payment is done and show the tickets yourself
4. After the sale
Eventasaurus.order({ sessionId }) or Eventasaurus.order({ orderId }) returns a finished order, if you need it again.
Good to know
- The fee is the same everywhere. 1% per order, $1 minimum, paid by you, never added to the buyer's price. You're the seller: payments go straight to your Stripe account.
- Every check happens on our side. Prices, seats left, sale windows, limits per order and promo codes are always checked again when someone pays, so nobody can buy more seats than you have.
- Apple Pay shows up once your site's address is registered with Stripe. We do that for you the first time someone checks out from your site, so it may appear from the second buyer on. Cards, Google Pay and Link work from the start.
- Your site needs https for real payments (every site builder already does this).
- No cookies, no tracking. The script only talks to Eventasaurus and Stripe.
